The Land of Shadow

I hate my life at the moment. I have a good job, although I'm still not confident in it. But I have no friends.

And before anyone protests that, actually, yes I do, I can tell you that I haven't got out of the house with anyone in four months who isn't a member of my family. All of my friends are either too far away, or simply don't want to hang around with me anymore and it's really getting me down. If anyone's played the Sims, and seen a Sim throwing a fit because it's social bar is empty, that's me right now.

I don't make friends easy, which is why the ones I do have are so important to me. But being alone all of the time is getting me so down.

Things are looking up! Or maybe this is just a rare positive feeling. Not used to it. Anyways, it looks like I may actually celebrate my birthday with other people this year! Take that, social ineptitude!

Also, I'm amazed by the kindness and generosity of people, even when they live thousands of miles away. Thank you <3

I've abandoned my LJ for so long. I've sort of half-heartedly made a resolution to update it more, but as we are 11 days into January and I've only just gotten around to it, it's unlikely that will happen. But my intentions are honourable. Now...how do you use html again?

Considering I haven't updated this in like, ever, I thought I might need to remind some of you who I am.

1. Your Middle Name: I do not have one. I long for one.

2. Age: 22

3. Single or Taken: Single, and unusually for me, this isn't getting me down.

4. Favourite Film: Eagle Vs Shark

5. Favourite Song or Album: Argh, erm...Christ. At the moment, it's Hitchcock by The Phoenix Foundation

6. Favourite Band/Artist: David Devant and his Spirit Wife. About ten years too late.

7. Dirty or Clean: It's beneficial to your health to get down and dirty once in a while. But clean for the most part.

8. Tattoos and/or Piercings: Both. I've yet to get a tattoo. Soon, my pretties.

10. What's your philosophy on life? Life's not a competition; there's no goal to reach. Have fun instead.

11. Is the bottle half-full or half-empty? Half-empty if I like what's in the bottle. Half-full if I don't.

14. What is your favourite guilty pleasure? Erm, gay porn. The fictional kind.

15. Tell me one odd/interesting fact about you: I...can wriggle my ears? And have benign fasciculations. There's a word for you to look up.

16. You can have three wishes (for yourself, so forget all the 'world peace etc' malarky) I wish to live in New Zealand, I wish to know what I want to do with my life, and I wish to be free to do what I like.

18. Which country is your spiritual home? New Zealand. I think that's fair to say as I haven't actually been there. Can't get more spiritual than that.

19. What is your big weakness? Waistcoats and stripes.

21. What was your best/favourite subject at school? Art/English Literature/Music

22. Describe your accent: I'm a cockney, I'm a cockney, I'm a cockney. Or not really. South London, which is probably the worst of the London accents.

24. What do you wear to sleep? Anything I can find. Nighties, PJs, Vest top and shorts. List goes on.

25. Trousers or skirts? Trousers

26. Cigarettes or alcohol? Cigarettes...And coffee.
